Houghton Dunn Pump-Prime Awards

Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust have just launched a NEW FELLOWSHIP OPPORTUNITY!!! The Houghton Dunn Research and Innovation Pump-Prime Awards replace the Peter Mount fellowship and are designed to provide a salary for juniors to take six months out of training to commence some research work with the intention of then applying for external funding. There is no absolute requirement for previous research and this is open to everyone!
Fellowships will last for six months, commencing on 1 February 2023.
There are five awards available for this round, with three of the awards ringfenced to fund projects in the following areas/or staff groups:
research into conditions affecting children and young people
research into rare conditions
research conducted by Nursing, Midwifery and Allied Health Professionals (NMAHPs).
As well as the fellowship salary, the award includes provision for a small amount of funding for project consumables and conference attendance, if presenting.
