MFT Trainee/LED Conference

MFT's Annual Trainee/LED Conference is on Monday 10th July at Wythenshawe Hospital!

This will be a day full of key talks, interactive workshops, presentations/posters from Trainee and Locally Employed Doctors, and lunch will be provided for all attendees. The presentations and posters will be judged by an expert panel and the winners will receive prizes!

This will be a good opportunity to present any quality improvement, audits, medical education and/or research projects. Abstracts will be reviewed and considered for poster or oral presentation.

Abstract guidance:

• Word count: 250 words

• Please include list of authors, introduction, methods, results and conclusion

• Please also specify your department/hospital and whether you would like to be considered for poster presentation, oral presentation or both

• Deadline for submission: 9am on Monday, 12th June 2023

CHaMP-TRN Research Webinar Series

Cheshire and Mersey Paediatric Trainee Research Network are organising a monthly webinar series about paediatric research and their first session is on March 28th at 6pm.

Dr Louise Oni (senior lecturer in paediatric nephrology) will be talking about the different career paths into paediatric research!

New publication in Journal of Nephrology

Congratulations to NW paediatric trainees, Dr Faezeh Sakhinia, Dr Vicky Brice, Dr Becky Ollerenshaw and team for their recent publication in Journal of Nephrology!

They describe four cases of tubulointerstitial nephritis and uveitis (a rare autoimmune disorder) in children during the COVID-19 pandemic.
